Dusseldorf, 11 January 2023 – The Kapital 1852 SCS SICAV-SIF Equity Invest IV "MidCapPlus" fund managed by the investment company Kapital 1852 Beratungs GmbH ("Kapital 1852") has acquired a majority stake in SPRiNTUS GmbH ("SPRiNTUS"). SPRiNTUS, based in Welzheim, is one of Germany's leading manufacturers of electric and battery-powered cleaning equipment as well as manual cleaning equipment for mainly professional users. The company specialises in dry vacuums, floor cleaning equipment and wet/dry vacuums for the commercial cleaning market and, since 2022, also in safety vacuums for craft and industrial applications. In addition, SPRiNTUS offers a wide range of manual cleaning equipment, consumables and accessories.
SPRiNTUS has successfully entered a new market segment with high growth potential with the introduction of innovative and high-quality safety vacuums in 2022. The Craftix safety vacuums open up significant growth potential with new end customer groups in trade and industry. In the crisis-resistant market for building cleaning products, the SPRiNTUS brand is already well established. Thanks to excellent products with a very good price-performance ratio, innovative solutions, outstanding customer service and high product availability, more and furthers market shares are being gained.
